Daniel Craig drives DB5 from Skyfall at Nurburgring

It was a well-kept secret as good as any plot from a James Bond movie, when Bond star Daniel Craig arrived by helicopter this afternoon, only to climb into his Aston Martin DB5 from the film Skyfall.

Craig was here to drive the stunning silver DB5 as part of Aston’s centenary parade lap, which saw over 100 Aston Martin models spanning the company’s 100-year history complete a full lap of the Nurburgring.

The popular Bond star was accompanied by other famous cars and drivers including Sir Stirling Moss who drove his 1959 race-winning Aston Martin DBR1 and Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez who drove the one-off CC100 Speedster Concept, which made its world debut at the event.

Also joining them at the Nurburgring was a 1951 Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead, as well as a 1953 DB3.

Bez later joined Craig on a tour of the pit area before jumping in the driver’s seat of the Hybrid Hydrogen Rapide S.
