Honda announces five-year warranty, roadside assist, driveaway deals

Honda Australia has announced driveaway deals across a number of its passenger cars and a free extended warranty and roadside assistance offer across its entire range until the end of June.

Under the offer, the new vehicle warranty of all Honda models sold between now and June 30 is upgraded from three years/100,000km to five years/140,000km, while all buyers also benefit from five years of Honda’s Premium Roadside Assist, usually an optional extra.

The driveaway discounts start with the Honda City VTi manual, which is available for $17,990 driveaway, down from its recommended retail price of $18,490 before on-road costs. Similar savings are available on the City VTi-L, which usually costs $22,990 before on-roads but is now available from $21,990 driveaway.

The Honda Jazz VTi auto gets a $19,990 driveaway price tag, effectively removing on-road costs from a model that has a manufacturer’s list price of $19,790.

The Honda Civic VTi sedan is available from $21,990 driveaway, saving buyers a small sum based on its $20,490 list price, while a similar deal is on offer for buyers of the Civic VTi-L sedan, which is available from $24,990 compared with its usual $23,990 list price.

The Honda Accord V6L completes the deal, its $44,990 driveaway price representing a saving in excess of $5000 over the car’s $47,290 list price.

Honda has made a strong start to 2013, with sales up 65 per cent so far this year compared with the first four months of 2012. Much of those gains can be attributed to the success of the Civic (5288 sales, up 141 per cent) and CR-V (4737 sales, up 887 per cent).
