Jaguar F-Type to start from $139,000

Three variants of the F-Type convertible sports car will be available in Australia – F-Type, F-Type S and F-Type V8 S.

They are powered by Jaguar’s new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine in 250kW and 280kW tunes and its 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol unit that produces 364kW of power.

Stepping up to the more powerful F-Type V6 S attracts a $32,400 premium over the entry-level F-Type, to be priced from $171,400, while the range-topping F-Type V8 S starts at $202,300.

All F-Types come with free scheduled servicing for three years or 100,000km.

The V6-powered base model F-Type accelerates from 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds, has a top speed of 260km/h and CO2 emissions of 209g/km.

Standard equipment includes Jaguar's performance braking system with silver calipers, sports suspension, sports exhaust, centre-mounted twin exhaust pipes, 18-inch alloy wheels, sports seats with leather and suede cloth inserts, three-spoke leather steering wheel with black gearshift paddles and Light Hex aluminium console finisher.

The V6 S is capable of going from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds, has a top speed of 275km/h and produces average CO2 emissions of 213g/km.

It also adds adaptive dynamics, active sports exhaust, 19-inch alloy wheels, limited-slip differential, sports seats with leather facings, three-spoke steering wheel with Ignis gearshift paddles and dark hex aluminium accents with ‘S’ graphic.

The top-shelf Jaguar F-Type V8 S will sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 300km/h. CO2 emissions rise to 259g/km.

Additional equipment includes quad exhaust tips, 20-inch alloy wheels, electronic active differential and configurable ambient lighting with selectable palette.

Jaguar Australia expects customer deliveries to commence from August.
