Mercedes-Benz, 3AW team up to get young drivers’ skills up

Melbourne talk-back radio host Neil Mitchell is offering young drivers the chance to improve their skills behind the wheel with the help of Mercedes-Benz.

Mitchell and his 3AW radio station are presenting a competition to get a limited number of licensed drivers, aged 25 and under, to take part in the Mercedes-Benz First Gear young driver training program.

A half-day course (normally priced at $110 per person) incorporating time in a range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the Mercedes-Benz First Gear program is conducted by Mercedes-Benz chief driving instructor Peter Hackett and his team.

The course is designed to inform, educate and provide practical experience for young motorists, covering the understanding of vehicle capabilities, recognising risks, avoiding dangers and handling critical driving situations.

Mitchell will broadcast live from the event, which will take place at Sandown Raceway from 8am on Monday April 29, 2013.
