Volvo appoints new interior design chief

Volvo has appointed Briton Robin Page, formerly head of interior design at Bentley, as its new interior design director.

Before joining Volvo, Page was responsible for interior design at Bentley Motors for 12 years, overseeing the Continental and Mulsanne ranges, as well as the interior design for the Queen’s State Limousine (below).

Page served his apprenticeship with Jaguar, but also acted in a design capacity for Rolls-Royce and Bugatti during various stages in his career.

Volvo senior vice president of design Thomas Ingenlath is confident Page will make a significant contribution to Volvo’s plans to lift the overall design of its vehicles to the next level.

“Robin has a wealth of experience regarding high-quality, luxury interior design. Our aim is to raise the bar for Volvo design both in interior and exterior design, and Robin will play an instrumental role in achieving that."

Page said his focus was to “build on Volvo’s modern Scandinavian craftsmanship and take the brand to the next level when it comes to luxury".
