Opel Insignia wagon facelift spied

The facelifted Opel Insignia wagon has been spied cold-weather testing in Europe, revealing more details of the mid-sized model's first facelift since 2008.

Following last month's spy shots of the Opel Insignia sedan, which revealed the car's new front and rear light designs, these latest images confirm the Opel Insignia wagon will sport matching styling from the nose to the B-pillars, including a redesigned grille, bumper and headlights.

From the rear doors back the Insignia wagon’s longer roofline flow smoothly into the tailgate-mounted spoiler and down into the tailgate that, while mostly covered in snow, features Opel Cascada-inspired tail-lights and a chrome strip between the rear indicators in a lower position than on the existing wagon. Full-length roof racks and dual exhausts will again carry over.

The new Opel Insignia is expected to make its debut at next month’s Geneva motor show, with a likely Australian release around the end of this year.
