Subaru Viziv concept previews new crossover design language

The Subaru Viziv concept headed to next month's Geneva motor show will preview a new design language set to inspire the Japanese manufacturer's next generation of crossover vehicles.

The Subaru Viziv concept (pictured above), which takes its name from the phrase “vision for innovation”, sports agressive styling and promises to feature a number of innovative technologies.

The Viziv is part of the Tokyo-based car maker's 55-year anniversary celebrations, with Subaru's Geneva show stand to feature historic vehicles from as far back as 1958.

Joining the Viziv concept at the show ahead of its local launch in March/April will be the Subaru Outback diesel fitted with brand's Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) – the first Subaru to have a CVT teamed with a horizontally opposed Boxer diesel engine. The new-generation Subaru Forester will also be on-stand to make its European show debut.

Subaru's 55th anniversary display will include models ranging from the 1958 Subaru 360 to the new Viziv concept.
