2010 Hyundai Tuscon SUV spied

Hyundai is preparing to give its Tuscon crossover SUV a much needed revamp with several prototypes spied undergoing durability testing in the northern part of Scandinavia.

The design is expected to be radically different from the current model, emulating Hyundai's recent reputation for impressive design and economy.

While it will be a far cry from the current model, Hyundai decision makers have apparently opted for a more traditional and ‘safe’ design for its new crossover rather than a more modern approach.

Inside sources suggest the new generation Tuscon will be powered exclusively by a range of diesel and petrol four-cylinder engines in both naturally-aspirated and turbocharged guise.

Production for Hyundai's home market of Korea is expected to begin by the end of the year, with the rest of the world receiving the new Tuscon by mid-2010.
