BMW X5: next-gen luxury SUV images leaked

The first images of the next-generation BMW X5 due to be launched later this year have been spotted on a model car dealer's Facebook page.

The two leaked images of the Jadi Modelcraft ‘F15’ third-generation SUV scale model were first seen on Diecast Empire’s Facebook page. The images reveal an evolutionary progression for the BMW X5, with a front end that shares elements with the 3 Series, front vents from the all-new BMW 4 Series, and a rear that appears to take inspiration from the BMW X3.

While it's too early for many further details such as engine line-ups, a range of petrol, diesel and V8 powerplants are likely, as well as a high-performance X5 M model. The new BMW X5 is also expected to yet again improve interior quality in keeping with its premium status.

The new BMW X5 will make its official debut later this year ahead of its fourth-quarter Australian launch. The current second-generation X5 first debuted in 2006.
