Jaguar F-Type: customised roadster shows off new option packs

A customised Jaguar F-Type has been unveiled at the 2012 Los Angeles motor show, revealed for the first time in a special-order exterior paint colour.

Drawing a crowd at the British marque's LA stand alongside the just-revealed big daddy Jaguar XFR-S performance saloon, the 280kW/460Nm supercharged 3.0-litre V6 Jaguar F-Type S sports car finished in Firesand paintwork has been equipped with three optional packages to demonstrate the range of personalisation options available.

The ‘Design’ and ‘Black’ exterior packs combine to offer an enhanced visual impact with the car’s front splitter, extended side sills and rear venturi all body coloured, while the aero splitters, rear valance, central grille beam, grille surround, side power vent surround and mesh are highlighted in gloss black along with the rollover protection bars.

The interior ‘Black’ pack sees the flat-bottomed sports steering wheel receive a black trim finisher, and the vent surrounds, door switch surrounds and instrument cluster dial rings given a gloss black treatment.

The Jaguar F-Type launches in Australia in the second quarter of 2013, with prices expected to start from around $190,000.
