Sporting chunky styling and an attitude to rival the Toyota FJ Cruiser, the Troller TR-X concept has been designed to go where paved roads don't, and evokes a connection with the untamed Amazon through its flat-green paint job.
Penned at Ford Brazil’s Design Centre specifically for the motor show, the TR-X concept is designed to communicate the brand's off-road philosophy with bulging bonnet and guards and intimidating stance.
"We are trying to create a concept that symbolised the essence of Troller," said Ford Brazil chief designer Joao Marcos Ramos. "It is a brand that is known for its tradition in the off-road world with the T4."
“We’ve replicated Troller DNA in the TR-X in this robust and stylish design, which aims at conveying its strength to endure any type of terrain."
The TR-X's no-frills rugged approach is contrasted by high-tech LED headlamps and tail-lights.
The Troller 4WD brand was founded in 1995 by Rogerio Farias. Ford acquired the company in January 2007 for an undisclosed price.
The company’s flagship model is an off-roader called the Troller T4 3.0 Turbodiesel. Design-wise it has similarities to the iconic Jeep Wrangler.
