Kia Justice League super hero cars unveiled at 2012 SEMA show

Kia is embracing the Halloween spirit at the 2012 SEMA aftermarket show in Las Vegas, with the local division of the Korean manufacturer unveiling five unique concept cars dressed up in full Justice League outfits.

Produced by Kia Motors America and renowned builders West Coast Customs, the real-life super hero concepts were designed by legendary comic book artist, DC Entertainment co-publisher and self-confessed car guy, Jim Lee, in support of the ‘We Can Be Heroes’ fundraising appeal.

On show at SEMA is the Batman-inspired Kia Optima, an Aquaman-themed Kia Rio, a Kia Cerato dressed as Cyborg, a Cerato Koup disguised as the Flash, and a Kia Soul tricked up like the Green Lantern, with each of the five cars featuring a unique piece of artwork by Lee.

The works will be auctioned, with the proceeds donated to the charity helping more than eight million people in the Horn of Africa fighting the region’s worst hunger crisis in 60 years.

Kia plans to produce three more Justice League-themed concepts: one each inspired by Wonder Woman and Superman, and the third being a fully driveable car integrating all seven members of the super hero posse, which will be auctioned to raise more money for the campaign.
