The Lamborghini Gallardo range has been updated with a new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 and ‘Edizione Tecnica’ variants of the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, giving the fighting bull one last run ahead of the brand new model’s arrival expected in the near future.
The refreshed four-wheel drive Lamborghini Gallardo range sees the LP 560-4 receive a new front end highlighted by strong triangular lines and trapezoidal forms synonymous with the model, as well as body-coloured and black diagonal supports and larger air intakes.
The angular theme is continued for the car’s new rear end with body-coloured diagonals breaking up the now wider rear engine air outlet – improving heat dissipation for the 412kW/540Nm 5.2-litre V10 powerplant – and sitting below the automatically controlled rear spoiler.
Performance figures of 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h are possible thanks to the six-speed paddle-shifted e-gear transmission and new matt black 19-inch alloy wheels with polished silver spokes shod with Pirelli PZero rubber (measuring 295mm on the rear).
A gloss-black finish for the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and transverse element of the rear trim, optional as part of a new Style package, give the Gallardo LP 560-4 an even more aggressive look.
Offered only on the top Lamborghini Gallardo models, the LP 570-4 Superleggera and the LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, is the enhanced Edizione Tecnica specification.
Combining an even more individual look and a boosted equipment level, the Edizione Tecnica models feature a fixed rear wing, carbon-ceramic brakes and three new exclusive colour combinations that see the entire roof arch and front air intakes painted in a contrasting colour – matt black body with orange, matt white body with orange, and orange body with matt black.
The new Lamborghini Gallardo range will be available in overseas markets from November this year before reaching local showrooms in 2013.
