The fourth-generation Rondo – known as the Carens in some overseas markets – becomes the latest model in Kia’s global line-up to benefit from the styling influence of design chief Peter Schreyer.

Mirroring the rest of Kia’s passenger car line-up, the all-new Kia Rondo sports the brand’s signature ‘tiger nose’ grille, dark-tinted swept-back headlights, tight character lines and a bold rear-end.

Kia has previously confirmed the overhauled seven-seater will feature a longer wheelbase, creating more cabin space for passengers and cargo room in the boot, while the lower roofline and tighter glass area contributes to a sleeker overall appearance.

The new Kia Rondo is completely new on the inside too, with a fresh design that is far more modern and sophisticated than the outgoing third-generation car.

Black leather upholstery teams with piano black dashboard trim to create a premium look and feel, while a multi-function steering wheel, instrument cluster with digital display and a large central infotainment screen with satellite navigation bring the Rondo up to speed from a technology perspective.

The all-new Kia Rondo is set to launch in Australia around April/May 2013.

More information on the new model will be revealed at its international debut in Paris on September 27.
