Lexus LF-LC evolution concept to make global debut at Sydney motor show
An evolutionary version of the Lexus LF-LC supercar concept will makes its world debut at the 2012 Sydney motor show.
The LF-LC coupe (pictured below) was first displayed at the 2012 Detroit motor show at the start of the year. The second, related version in Sydney will provide further information about a car that’s still three to four years away from production.
A Lexus source says the Sydney show car will showcase “advanced materials and construction processes” that could be applied to the production LF-LC.
Expect those materials to include carbon fibre, which accounted for two-thirds of the $750,000 Lexus LFA supercar.
“It would be silly of us not to use what we learned from building the LFA for other models,” added our insider.
The two-plus-two-seater LF-LC will be a relatively affordable supercar compared to the LFA
The concept should prove to be one of main head-turners at the 2012 Sydney motor show,
The sporty two-door’s design takes plenty of cues from the LFA but also has an abundance of conceptual ideas, including its striking tail-lights that are said to be inspired by the afterburners of jet-fighters.
The concept’s performance should glow sufficiently red with a 370kW petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain that distributes its power to all four wheels, differentiating the Sydney show car from the Detroit LF-LC concept that was rear-wheel drive.
