A sketch and teaser image of a crossover concept called the Suzuki S-Cross has been released by the Japanese brand ahead of the vehicle's debut at September's 2012 Paris motor show.

Suzuki is saying very little about the concept at this stage, though its description of the S-Cross as a "concept car heralding a C-segment crossover model" suggests it could preview the company's next-generation SX4.

The sketch points to a more conventional-looking hatchback than the relatively tall-bodies current SX4, though concept drawings rarely translate literally to the final production model.

The dark teaser image shows little except for a fancy multi-LED headlamp above a strip of LED daytime running lights.

The Suzuki S-Cross will be the car maker's second concept car of the year, following the XA-Alpha shown at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo in January that showed a potential future SUV from the car maker.
