Arrinera supercar: all-new design sketches

Polish/British supercar company Arrinera Automotive has released updated design sketches of its upcoming V8-powered supercar after the previous design was deemed too close to Lamborghini's production series cars.

Arrinera has effectively gone back to the drawing board and come up with a fresh design to give it a more distinctive appearance.

It appears that British car designer and partner in Arrinera Automotive, Lee Noble, remains committed to the project through his own Fenix Automotive Ltd Company that is providing engineering and design expertise.

Information remains scarce as to whether there will be any significant changes to the car’s powertrain or drivetrain given the new design, but at this stage we believe the Arrinera supercar's performance remains unchanged.

That means the same 6.2-litre V8 engine generating maximum power of 485kW and 825Nm of torque.

Performance is said to be scintillating, with a 0-100km/h-sprint time of less than four seconds and a top speed of 340km/h, according to Arrinera Automotive.

Lee Noble will also design the chassis, which will be manufactured from lightweight high-strength steel or composite materials for considerable torsional strength and deformation resistance.

Despite the new design, Arrinera is expecting to launch the production version in 2012 with the following price points:

GBP: 100,000
PLN: 509,000
EUR: 116,740
USD: 160,060
