Jerry Seinfeld: comic’s new car show about to hit screens

Back in May CarAdvice told you about American comedian Jerry Seinfeld developing a new car show featuring celebrities. Well, it's now set to debut on July 19.


A teaser video of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has been released and features celebrities including Alec Baldwin, Ricky Gervais and Larry David in the passenger seat of classic cars from Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Triumph, Volkswagen and Dodge.

The show will debut at 19:00 ET in the US on the Sony-created Crackle, a website that lets users watch movies, TV shows and original series online for free.

 

Seinfeld is an avid automotive enthusiast and the owner of one of the largest Porsche collections in the world. His garage features close to 50 different Stuttgart sports cars, including 10 Boxsters, all in different colours, as well as a number of 911s, a 1955 Porsche 550 and a Porsche 959, alone estimated to be valued at $US700,000 ($682,000).
