The Skoda Rapid has been snapped testing at the Nurburgring with almost no camouflage at all, revealing what the upcoming production car is set to look like.

Our spies caught the Silver Skoda Rapid lapping the famed German blacktop in only light camouflage this time, with decals on the front lights, rear lights and on the rear doors while the Red Rapid highlights the chrome bonnet trimming.

The images also provide the first look at the Rapid's interior, showing the type of fit and materials we've come to expect of the Volkswagen family.

While the Rapid will share parts from its parent company the Volkswagen Group such as engines and gearboxes, the hatch will miss out on taking advantage of the new MQB multi-vehicle platform as a result of trying to reduce both costs and delays.

The Skoda Rapid is expected to reach Australia in 2013, slotting in-between the Skoda Fabia and Skoda Octavia and broadening Skoda’s line-up to seven vehicles.
