Chrysler 300C & 300C Touring, Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass & Grand Cherokee & Commander & Cherokee & Wrangler ABS Anti-Lock Brake System Recall
DaimlerDhrysler Australia has recalled nearly 500 vehicles sold in the last 2 months that have been fitted with incorrect ABS (anti-lock-brake system) software. It is essential that all customers of the following vehicles contact their dealer immediately.
The cars include
- Chrysler 300C & 300C Touring,
- Dodge Caliber,
- Jeep Compass,
- Jeep Grand Cherokee,
- Jeep Commander,
- Jeep Cherokee
- Jeep Wrangler
Problem: The software programmed into the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) control module may cause the rear wheels to lock up during certain braking conditions. Which could result in a loss of vehicle control.

The recall only applies to the above vehicles equipped with an ESP/ABS system (sales code BNB, BRF, BRY, BRI, BR3, BR4 or BR6).
