Kia Cerato: limited edition brings eXtra sweetener

The Kia Cerato eXtra has been announced as a new, limited edition trim level in the small car's range.

The Kia Cerato eXtra sits between the mid-range Cerato Si and top-of-the-range SLi and will be available in both sedan and five-door hatch.

The eXtra six-speed manual is priced at $21,490, with the six-speed automatic a touch more at $23,490, making it $1250 more than an Si hatch and $1500 more for the sedan.

Additional features include 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, rear parking sensors, a leather wrapped steering wheel and chrome-tipped exhausts, adding to standard features matched to the Si - such Bluetooth, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering, cruise control, remote audio controls and folding exterior mirrors.

There's also a new Racing Red paint scheme, though it's available only on the hatch body style.

The Kia Cerato eXtra keeps the same 115kW/194Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder as the rest of the Cerato range.

The Kia Cerato eXtra limited edition is available from Kia dealerships now.
