Images revealing the new third-generation Hyundai Santa Fe have been released ahead of the new SUV’s world premiere at the upcoming New York motor show in April.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe will arrive in Australia before the end of the year with Hyundai confirming it will keep the “Santa Fe” nameplate dispelling rumours of a possible ix45 badge.

The new Santa Fe is more aggressive than it predecessor with a two-tone side skirt, wider front and rear bumpers and retaining Hyundai’s family face hexagonal grille.

Pricing for the current generation Santa Fe starts at $36,990 for the 2WD 204kW/335Nm 3.5-litre V6 and $37,990 for the AWD 145kW/436Nm(A/T) 2.2-litre four-cylinder Turbo Diesel.
