BMW 3-Series Touring almost fully uncovered

BMW has been spotted testing a prototype of the all-new BMW 3-Series Touring once again - this time wearing very little camouflage, except over the new rear end.

Although some areas of the rear are covered, most of the design and the overall profile is revealed.

The all-new 3-Series Touring will feature a curved roofline that flows down to a sleek and rounded rear end.

The front will be largely identical to the sedan, featuring the trademark twin circular headlights and kidney grille.

As for the variants offered, the BMW Australia is yet to finalise its line-up, however, speaking with company spokesman Piers Scott, CarAdvice understands many of the 3-Series sedan variants will be mirrored paired with a Touring model.

Models are likely to include a 320d and 320i for the entry-level range, and a new 328i to replace the '30i' six-cylinder. A flagship 335i Touring is also on the cards.

As for timing, Scott indicated a fourth-quarter launch, but said an official date is yet to be finalised.
