2013 Kia Cee’d revealed

Kia has revealed the new 2013 Kia Cee'd ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The model is set for European markets only.

The new Cee'd showcases Kia's latest design language, with an aggressively pointy front end with sharp lines and a new headlight design with LEDs. At the back there's an integrated spoiler and new taillights.

Based on the new Hyundai i30 platform, the Kia Cee'd competes in the compact hatch segment. The new model is longer, wider and lower than its predecessor, while the wheelbase remains unchanged. This gives it a sportier, lower profile stance than the outgoing model.

Inside, Kia has worked on bringing the interior up to a premium level, and focused the cockpit around the driver. There's a sporty steering wheel with gloss black trim, and button controls for Bluetooth and audio.

Sitting at the top of the new centre fascia is a touchscreen panel for audio and multimedia functions, while the rest of the cabin presents multi-tone sports seats, chrome trim, and an overall prestige theme.

The new model is expected to hit the European market later in the year. Kia has no plans to sell the Cee'd in Australia.
