Audi Q5 facelift spied

Audi has been spotted testing a prototype version of the facelifted Audi Q5 in Sweden with very little camouflage.

Although not clearly seen here, the 2013 Audi Q5 facelift will feature a revised front fascia and in particular, a revised front grille. It is expected to feature a hexagonal pattern as opposed to the current trapezoidal layout.

The hexagonal mesh will also be carried over to the design of the fog light clusters, while the headlights will feature Audi's latest design themes, with LED daytime running lights and a squiggle line through the centre.

Inside, the 2013 Audi Q5 is expected to feature the company's latest MMI mutlimedia interface, with internet functions and Google maps.

As for the powertrain options, the new Q5 is expected to come with a similar line-up to the current model, including the 3.0-litre TDI V6, a 3.2-litre FSI petrol V6, a 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol, and a 2.0-litre TDI.

As you can see by the badge on the back, a new 3.0-litre turbo petrol also appears set to join the line-up.

According to reports, the new model will hit the US market during the third quarter of this year, and will likely hit Australia in early 2013.
