2013 Nissan 370Z Unveiled

If you’re expecting massive differences from the 2012 Nissan 370Z, don’t hold your breath. It’s a minor cosmetic update at best. The main addition is the updated front fascia with vertical LED daytime running lights that now give the Z more style (and added safety) during the day.

The rear end also gets red reflectors whilst the new alloy wheels give a sense of flowing motion even when standing still.

The Nissan 370Z Nismo, which is not available in Australia, gets a new set of 19-inch wheels and high-rigidity brake hoses and performance brake fluid borrowed from the GT-R (but it misses out on the cosmetic updates).

There appears to be no changes to the interior but North American models equipped with the sport package will gain Euro-tuned suspension. A new red (pictured) and midnight blue colour choice will also join the range.

“Since the original 1970 Z was first introduced our goal has always been to keep the design moving forward. The changes for 2013, though subtle, go a long way in enhancing its dynamic appearance inside and out,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc.

Powertrain options remains unchanged with the same 3.7-litre V6 engine that is capable of a very healthy 245kW and 363Nm of torque still powering the Z. Transmission choices continue as a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic.

The 2013 Nissan 370Z will go on sale in North American around June but don’t expect to see it in Australia until either the end of this year or early next year. Check out the gallery (click on tab at the top of the page) for more pictures.
