NISMO unveils Nissan GT-R GT3
Nissan’s global motorsport arm, Nissan Motorsports International (NISMO) has released a GT-R than conforms to FIA GT3 race regulations. Its official badge is the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.
The car was developed in partnership with JR Motorsports, with extensive testing throughout 2011, and pronounced ready for the GT3 series.
The GT-R NISMO GT3 is powered by the same 3.8 litre V6 twin-turbo engine developing 390 kW (or higher) and 612 Nm (or higher) that’s found in the GT-R (R35) road car.
Power is to the rear wheels via a six-speed transaxle and activated by a semi-automatic paddle shift set up.
Driveability has been a key factor in the GT-R NISMO GT3’s development and as such, not only does the car feature a forgiving chassis, both the suspension system and driver controls are easily adjustable to suit a variety of preferences.
The GT-R NISMO GT3 is priced at 298,000 Euro (AUD368, 180).
