Based on the Q3, the Vail gets tough matt grey cladding on the lower section of the exterior for that rugged off-road look. The exterior also features an Energy Red colour scheme with gloss black and aluminium inserts, 20-inch alloy wheels, LEDs, and a bespoke roof rack.
The interior is fitted with Alcantara trim with half-leather half-fabric seats with red accents, while silver mesh highlights give the dash some contrast. The Vail concept also features heated/cooled cup holders, and an interesting heated rear cargo seat pad to keep you warm while getting into and out of your ski boots.
Perhaps the most significant element of the Q3 Vail is what's under the bonnet. There lies a 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine producing 231kW of power and 400Nm of torque - a detuned version of the Audi TT RS engine.
With thanks to Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system and S tronic seven-speed automatic transmission, the Vail can achieve 0-100km/h in just 5.5 seconds, and go on to a top speed of 262km/h.
