Mitsubishi Australia has added four well equipped and sharply priced special edition Platinum models to its range, offering local customers new levels of specification and value in its Lancer, ASX, Outlander and Pajero models lines.

The 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Platinum is based on the base model Lancer ES. Platinum models benefit from a reversing camera embedded (displayed in the rear-view mirror when reverse is selected), leather seats, heated front seats and six-way power driver’s seat. The steering wheel is also bound with leather and features buttons for audio and Bluetooth phone functions.

The Lancer Platinum’s exterior scores 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome-tipped exhaust, rear spoiler (sedan only) and Platinum badging. Available in both sedan and Sportback body styles, the Lancer Platinum is priced from $21,690 for the five-speed manual and $24,190 for the CVT.

Differentiating Platinum models on the outside are front fog lamps, chrome exhaust tip and Platinum badging. Based on the entry-level front-wheel drive variant, the Mitsubishi ASX Platinum is priced from $25,990 for the five-speed manual and $28,490 for the CVT.

The 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander Platinum gets the all the upgrades of the ASX Platinum, and also adds silver details to the interior door handles, rear door trim and centre console. The Platinum package also adds side and curtain airbags to the front-wheel drive variants (six airbags are already standard on the four-wheel drive models).
