2013 Dodge Dart interior revealed in teaser images

Dodge has released teaser images of the 2013 Dodge Dart interior, showing the dashboard layout and centre fascia. The Dart will be the first vehicle built under the Fiat-Chrysler partnership, and shares its platform with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

Last week the company released teaser images of the front and rear end designs. This time we get a glimpse of the futuristic dashboard and instrument cluster layout.

Behind the steering wheel sits two silver dials for the speedo and rev counter, with a seven-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display in the middle. The display is customisable and can project a number of driver information details.

On the centre fascia of the dash, there's a new 8.4-inch touch screen UConnect infotainment system, borrowed from Chrysler. The dashboard, and many other trim highlights, also feature ambient lighting.

Dodge says the new Dart will be all about customisation, giving owners the opportunity to create their own personalised vehicle. There will be 14 different interior colour combinations, and 12 exterior options.

Chrysler Australia told CarAdvice it will consider the Dodge Dart for our market if it is confirmed for right-hand drive markets. At this stage it Dodge has only confirmed the left-hand drive variant.

As for the rest of the car, all will be revealed next month at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, starting January 9.
