New Ferrari GT (F620) caught on camera

Ferrari’s all-new GT caught on camera by CarAdvice spy photographers

This is the new Ferrari GT, codenamed the F152. It even sounds like the codename for the next Ferrari F1 car – well close enough, at least. There’s actually no official name for the car as yet, but it won’t be long before Ferrari leak it to the media.

It’s heavily discussed in winter camo dress despite the warmer temperatures in Italy at the moment, and that’s because the successor to the 599 is still top secret for at least a few more months.

The word around the traps is that it could be called the F620, which has hot the rumour mill several times already this year.

Naturally the GT car will stay with the front engine, rear-wheel drive set-up, and use the 6.3-litre V12 with over 700 horsepower. That will make it more potent than both the FF and 599 GTO, as well as Lamborghini’s Aventador, which we only just tested at the F1 track in Shanghai.

The new GT will also get a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with a Formula One style electronic differential. For more pace and grip.

Mostly, the new Ferrari will take the best of the 599, FF and the 458 Italia.

It will also be lighter than the current 599 due to new parts that will now be fabricated in aluminium.

The all-new Ferrari is said to have its world debut at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.
