With the imminent release of the new Continental Flying Spur range, Bentley will shortly turn its attention to the ageing flagship Arnage.
With the current shape having been doing the rounds for several years now, a revitalised Arnage will be due to make appearance.
Our graphic artists have come up with a rendering that obviously echoes the new design philosophy under Dirk van Braeckel, with hints of the Flying Spur along the flanks and the rear.
While the current motor has been in service for several decades now, it is still not clear what powertrain the new Arnage will receive. Rumour is still rife of the big Bentley getting a detuned version of the Bugatti Veyron's engine. Having driven that car, we can say that it would make a great choice.
If it does get the W16 engine, there is still a question over whether Bugatti's excellent DSG gearbox, or an iteration of ZF's supreme automatic would bolt up to it.
Either way, the Arnarge will still be priced way above what we can afford.
More news as it comes to hand.
