Subaru BRZ Spy CGI Images
With a decision due in the coming months, Subaru Australia will decide whether to import the Subaru BRZ, an engineering and design collaboration with Toyota (to be named the FT-86).
Fitted with a horizontally opposed Boxer engine, the rear-wheel-drive coupe uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that is positioned 120mm lower to the ground and 240mm closer to the centre of the chassis in comparison to other Subaru vehicles.
Front strut and double wishbone rear suspension, along with a low centre of gravity are indicators of the cars agility and sportiness.
Our graphic artist has compiled a computer generated image of what the Subaru BRZ will look like based on the spy photographs seen so far. Considering his previous near perfect accuracy with the Ford Territory, Ford Ranger, Holden Colorado, Isuzu D-Max and Holden Commodore, you can bet your bottom dollar that it's spot on the money.

The BRZ is 4200mm long, 1770mm wide and 1270mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2570mm. In comparison to a 370Z, for example, it’s 50mm shorter, 75mm skinnier, 55mm lower and has a 20mm longer wheelbase.
Over the next five years Subaru will launch an additional three models, one of which has been confirmed as a hybrid vehicle.
The Subaru BRZ and Toyota FT-86 are both set to be officially unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of November.
