2012 Ford Focus Sport, Titanium now standard with satellite navigation
Every new 2012 Ford Focus Sport and Titanium vehicle arriving in Australia from November will be equipped with integrated satellite navigation.
The new sat-nav system is displayed on a five-inch colour screen (a size up from the previous 4.2-inch display) and integrates with the existing Sony audio and communications system.
The new standard system adds $500 to the price of all Focus Sport and Focus Titanium models.
Ford Australia’s Justin Lacy said satellite navigation would only be available on those two models, and could not be optioned into the lower-spec Ambiente and Trend models.
Ford initially launched the Focus in August with sat-nav notably absent from the line-up. Mr Lacy said it was simply a matter of timing, and said Ford had no intentions of holding back the launch until sat-nav was available.
