Jez Spinks to join CarAdvice as Editor in Chief

CarAdvice.com.au today announced that Jez Spinks will be joining the Company from November 14th as the new Editor in Chief.

With vast experience across various publications both in the UK and Australia, including 13 years within the automotive industry, he is a well respected member of the automotive community. Since moving to Australia in 2000 Jez held positions at Wheels magazine (2000-2006), and most recently at Drive where he departs from the Online Editor role, during which time, he grew audience and content significantly, while securing many exclusive stories, both nationally and internationally.

Commenting on the new appointment, CarAdvice CEO David Holmes said, "Securing Jez is a massive coup for CarAdvice as he is a unique talent in the world of automotive journalism. Jez is as comfortable in front of camera as he is writing or reviewing cars in more traditional formats. He shares our passion for helping people find the car they will love day after day. Jez also understands the opportunity the Internet provides car buyers and sees the impact he and CarAdvice will have as the industry continues its rapid evolution. He is the best editor in today’s multi channel
world which is why we actively went after him.”

Jez will be taking over from John Cadogan who moves into the newly created position of Executive Producer of Video.

This announcement comes just weeks after CarAdvice announced its strategic alliance with Telstra to form Australia’s second largest online automotive network, the Automotive Alliance.
