E10 Petrol Cheaper than Unleaded

Envirofuel informs us of the ACCC report which has shown that the price of E10 fuel (90% regular unleaded mixed with 10% ethanol) is actually cheaper than regular unleaded.

On average the price was found to be 2.9 cents per litre cheaper than regular unleaded.

As you can see from the table above, the price difference between Regular Unleaded and E10 is around 2.6cents on average. The ACCC has put this report together using 14 locations where E10 petrol is available. Also its worth noting that the ACCC did not count ethanol performance fuels, such as Boost 98 from United or E5 petrol (such as Shell V-Power Racing).
