Chrysler Australia achieves Record Sales

Underpinned by the new Grand Cherokee line up, Chrysler Australia has just recorded their best ever-sales quarter.

Sales of Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge vehicles doubled in September when compared with 2010 (1435 units vs. 710) and YTD sales are up a sizeable 30 per cent.

For those that have driven the new Grand Cherokee and compared it to the competition on a value for money basis, it will come as no surprise that this vehicle dominated the Luxury SUV segment in September with 445 units sold.

Veronica Johns is the General Manager, National Sales at Chrysler Australia was clearly pleased with the latest results.

“I said last month that the Grand Cherokee sales results were only the beginning, so I’m delighted to see September’s delivery so strong.”

I am especially pleased to see other brands within the Chrysler portfolio continue to improve. In particular, the Dodge Caliber had a strong month, with 300 units and enough to capture a 1.9 per cent market share in the busy small car segment. Cherokee and Patriot sales also showed significant growth,”

reported Ms Johns.
