Lexus LS TMG Edition specifications and video

Following Tuesday’s images of a track-tuned Lexus LS lapping the Nurburgring, we now have video footage and official performance data of the mysterious vehicle.

According to a leaked spec sheet, it’s called the Lexus LS TMG Edition, and it’s powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine that produces a whopping 478kW of power and 710Nm of torque.

It can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.2 seconds and will go on to a top speed of 320km/h.

TMG stands for Toyota Motorsport GmbH – the Japanese brand’s German-based motorsport branch.

It’s not clear at this stage whether the LS TMG Edition is simply a once-off creation by Toyota engineers, or whether, hiding below that track-themed body kit, is the early stages of a Lexus LS F super-sports luxury sedan.

As we reported earlier this week, the car is expected to be showcased at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show in December.
