Volkswagen reveals 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show stand

Volkswagen has released an early preview of its 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show stand in the lead up to the mega show which starts next Tuesday. Volkswagen's huge almost 9000-square-metre stand will house over 50 show cars.

Like most manufacturers, Volkswagen is undergoing last-minute preparations and checks for its massive stand at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. Up to 228 hosts and hostesses will be on hand at the Hall 3 stand, as well as around 80 Volkswagen employees.

Volkswagen's showcase won't be just about the show cars though. It will also have a huge 30-metre Innovation Wall that will be used to display various insights into future mobility and innovations by Volkswagen.

Apart from the 50 vehicles on display, Volkswagen will also have an additional 74 vehicles outside which will be used as a test fleet for punters to try out. Tillmann Stauske, head of fairs and congresses at Volkswagen, recently said,

"Volkswagen has the largest test fleet of any automaker at the IAA – 74 vehicles are lined up outside Hall 3.0. That means our guests can experience the entire Volkswagen product range – from the Polo and Golf blue-e-motion to the Touareg Hybrid."

Some of the stars of the show will be the new Volkswagen Up!, as well as the new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet and facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan. Various concepts and electric vehicles will be on display as well, such as the Volkswagen NILS personal mobility concept.

We'll be sure to provide all the coverage on Volkswagen's stand, as well as full coverage of the complete 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show next week. Stay tuned.
