Ford B-Max Spy photos

Ford is expanding its portfolio of small vehicles with the this soon to be released ultra-compact people-mover based on the Ford Fiesta platform.

Sitting below the Ford C-Max (which is not available in Australia), the upcoming B-Max is set to compete in a very niche market. Our photographers caught this mule testing in Germany and despite all the camo, we already have a pretty good indication of what this is going to look like, given it's based on the Ford B-Max concept we saw earlier this year.

Seems as though the production version of the Ford B-Max has also kept the rear sliding doors that make it really practical for inner-city living. As far as we know, the B-Max is just 11 cm longer then the Fiesta and is likely to share its engine and transmission systems with its donor car.

Given the ever growing light-car segment, perhaps the B-Max may stand a good chance of heading down under?

Update: Ford Australia Brand Communications Manager Neil McDonald told CarAdvice Ford has no plans to introduce the model into Australia.
