BMW reveals its 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show stand

BMW has uploaded a couple of images onto its Facebook page showing its huge stand that will be on display at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

BMW's section looks more like a shopping centre than a motor show exhibit. It's going to be spread across two levels with cars on display mainly in the lower level. The top level, however, will showcase an indoor driving track/loop around the outside of the entire BMW stand, like previous years.

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, this track will potentially be used to demonstrate BMW's new range of 'i' cars, including the BMW i3 and BMW i8, possibly with passenger rides around the short circuit.

The range of models that will be on display include the new BMW 1 Series, the BMW M5 and the BMW i3 and i8. The show may also be home to the unveiling of the all-new BMW 3 Series and the tri-turbo 3.0-litre diesel engine. We'll have to wait and see.

Look out for our full coverage of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in the coming weeks. It all starts on September 13.
