Rolls-Royce Phantom Experimental Electric preview

Rolls-Royce has invited CarAdvice to Singapore for a test drive of its 102EX Concept Car, the all-electric Phantom.

Seen here undergoing durability heat testing, the Phantom Experimental Electric is the test-bed for Rolls-Royce to research how well the all-electric experience suits the brand.

We're told that the car’s 96 battery cells will operate at 50 degrees Celsius and above, and in relative humidity as low as 30 percent. With Singapore currently experiencing humidity of around 95 percent, it should be a good test.

Being exceptionally torquey and having no sound, you'd imagine that Rolls-Royce would be well suited to the electric set up. Next week we'll be able to tell you as CarAdvice gets behind the wheel.
