Emphasising its people-moving ability, Infiniti will release seven images of the JX Concept over the next seven weeks in the lead up to its official unveiling at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 18.
A production version – the 2013 Infiniti JX – will be unveiled at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in November before it goes on sale in the US in the second quarter of next year.
Vice President of Infiniti Americas, Ben Poole, said interior flexibility would be a highlight of the JX.
"Families don't have many luxury vehicle options today,” Mr Poole said.“The new Infiniti JX will be the seven-passenger antidote to the ho-hum luxury crossovers that are out there right now.”
Infiniti is keeping powertrain and equipment details close to its chest for now, but more will be revealed in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
Infiniti, the luxury sports arm of Nissan, will launch in Australia in 2012, with the FX crossover, G37 coupe/convertible and the M performance sedan to lead the way.
