MINI Red Mudder by DSQUARED

Canadian design duo DSQUARED2 have created this exclusive MINI Red Mudder for Life Ball 2011 in Vienna.

The Life Ball is the biggest charity fundraising event in Europe supporting people with HIV and AIDS.

MINI has sponsored the Life Ball for the past 11 years and each year it has called on a famous designer to create a unique new MINI. Previous Life Ball MINIs designers include Agent Provocateur, Donatella Versace, Diesel and Missoni.

The DSQUARED2 MINI Red Mudder was built on the MINI Cooper S platform and was designed to be ready for adventure.

Striking exterior features include the prominent front bull bar, rally-style headlamps and mesh headlight protectors, rear side window grilles and hatch-mounted spare tyre.

The chassis is raised and the deep-tread all-terrain tyres give it a ready-for-anything attitude. Inside, there’s an integrated compass, aluminium floor mats, and trademark DSQUARED2 maple leaf badging to match the exterior.

Life Ball founder and organiser, Gery Keszler, said the one-off MINIs have led to donations of more than 500,000 euro ($668,000) since 2001.

“MINI has been a partner of the Life Ball for 11 years and each year it demonstrates anew its creativity, enthusiasm and passion for this good cause,” Mr Keszler said.

“This year's Life Ball MINI designed by DSQUARED² provides further persuasive evidence of this.”
