Endora SC-1 concept based on Corvette

German tuning company Endora Cars has produced this interesting little number. It's called the Endora SC-1 and its based on the Chevrolet Corvette, but instead of showcasing a rather predictable GM design, it features true contemporary retro aesthetics that hark back to the Sixties and Seventies.

Endora Cars is hoping to release the car onto the market and has released these tantalising images as a taste of what to expect from the production version. The renderings give off the impression that the car is created as a solid one-piece chunk, with large panels wrapping around the rear, and over the roof.

From the back, there's definite retro styling cues. Take the simple circular taillight design and the squared-off rear wheel arches. Endora has also recessed a black panel smack in the middle of the rear face to match the two-tone theme shared at the front.

From the side it showcases a cool low-profile stance with high rear haunches. Classic 19-inch wheels at the front and 20-inch wheels at the rear suit the design perfectly, and are wrapped in era-matching whitewall tyres, albeit with a very thin-profile.

There will be three different trim levels of the production SC-1, each powered by a V8 engine with varying degrees of muscle, and the option of a six-speed auto or manual. The entry-level variant will feature a 6.2-litre GM V8 producing 321kW of power and 574Nm of torque.

The mid-spec will feature a 7.0-litre GM V8 producing 377kW and 637Nm, while the range-topping model will feature the supercharged 6.2-litre Corvette engine producing a whopping 476kW and 818Nm.

Although no official acceleration times have been mentioned yet, it's fair to say, in top-spec guise at least, the Endora SC-1 will perform like a retro muscle car, and at least keep up with the car it's based on.
