Featuring the new Continental face, incorporating quad headlights and a steeper front fascia layout, the new model also gets new body panels all around exhibiting subtle contour changes.
The convertible will share much of its design with the new Continental GT coupe which was unveiled and introduced late last year. There's a sharper rear hip design with very prominent haunches, new 21-inch alloy wheels, and new taillights which blend in with the boxier rear end layout.
Under the bonnet, the convertible is said to feature the same 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 as the coupe brother, producing 423kW of power and 700Nm of torque (up from 411kW and 650Nm). The engine will also be flex-fuel compatible so it will be capable of running on E85 ethanol.
The interior of the new GTC is likely to feature the new slimmer Cobra front seats which free up rear passenger room, while a new dash-mounted LCD touchscreen infotainment unit will make its way onto the centre fascia.
The official unveiling of the new Bentley Continental GTC is expected to take place at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September. A version of the car might also be on display showcasing the new 4.0-litre V8 engine layout which could eventually make its way into the showroom line-up.
