Video: Lamborghini Aventador review

The first ever Lamborghini Aventador review video has just surfaced on the web. Featuring a bit of wet-weather testing, it looks like the new car is a load of fun and one seriously quick supercar.

The Lamborghini Aventador is an all-new car with a new chassis (carbon fibre tub/monocoque), new 6.5-litre V12 engine (515kW/690Nm) and a new Independent Shifting Rod seven-speed dual-synchronise transmission.

Take a listen to that ferocious V12 bellow and rasp. Autcar is, as far as we know, the first auto publication to get behind the wheel and post a video review for our interpretation.

The team seems very pleased with the car, only faulting the new transmission, which they say is not very smooth on the track. They also say the adjustable instrument cluster imagery is questionable. Other than that, the car pretty much speaks for itself, with "off the dial" grip and traction, and "pinpoint" steering. Take a look below.

The Lamborghini Aventador will go on sale in Australia at some point. Definite prices and delivery dates are yet to be finalised. The Aventador is available to order in other parts of the world though, with prices starting at 255,000 euro (around AU$346,600). Deliveries are said to begin mid-year.
