Peugeot crossover concept leaked ahead of Shanghai

Images of a Peugeot crossover concept have leaked online ahead of the vehicle’s unveiling at the 2011 Auto Shanghai show on April 19.

According to China Car Times, the crossover concept is the first vehicle to be developed and designed at PSA Peugeot Citroen’s new research and development facility in China.

Little is known about the concept – even its name remains a mystery – although the styling clearly follows the brand’s new ‘Motion & Emotion’ design philosophy first seen on the Peugeot SR1 concept which debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The interior promises to have a decidedly concept flavour. The driver and front passenger will have their own distinct zones, with the driver’s side a highly focused cockpit and the passenger side a more relaxed, comfortable environment.

The multiple gauges and display screens will have a three-dimensional appearance with unique blue-purple lighting.

More details of the Peugeot crossover concept will be revealed when the vehicle is unveiled in Shanghai in around two weeks’ time.
