Porsche Panamera Turbo S could be unveiled in April: rumour

Recent reports are circulating saying Porsche is about to unveil the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S flagship sedan. Although the company hasn't officially announced it, the car is anticipated to launch within a few weeks' time.

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S will be an even hotter version of the already ferocious Turbo model. Like the Porsche 911 Turbo S, the Panamera Turbo S is expected to receive a number of engine and handling tweaks which should make this muscular sedan even stronger.

In standard Turbo form, the Panamera Turbo uses a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 offering 368kW of power and 700Nm of torque. Reports say the Turbo S version will offer more like 410kW of power which could slash 0-100km/h times from 4.5 seconds (for the Turbo) down to 3.8 seconds (for the Turbo S).

As mentioned, nothing is official at this stage but some punters are expecting the Panamera Turbo S to be unveiled at this year's Auto Shanghai show in China, like the original Panamera which was unveiled in China in 2009. Auto Shanghai 2011 opens its doors on April 20.

Deliveries are then said to commence sometime in June/July. We'll be sure to keep you updated in any case.
