Pagani Huayra roadster confirmed

Pagani owner and creator, Horacio Pagani, has confirmed that there is a Pagani Huayra roadster coming, which should be on the market by 2014. The car will feature the same body design, running gear and engine unit as the original Huayra unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

It was pretty easy to predict but confirmation from Mr Pagani himself is always good to hear. Mr Pagani recently told automotive media in Argentina,

" ...there will be a Huayra Roadster in approximately three years."

The roadster version will feature the same 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine as the rigid roof Huayra, outputting 522kW of power and 1000Nm of torque. Although specific acceleration figures are yet to be discovered, the Huayra roadster should come close, if not match, the 3.3 second 0-100km/h time of the normal version.

Even though the Pagani Huayra retails for one million euro in the Europe, Pagani has already received 60 orders who are awaiting arrival of the new model. The roadster version should be just as popular. We'll be sure to show it to you as soon as possible.
